To my father
You are the second prefix to my first
breathe
The pillar that holds my foundation firm
to the ground
Before I crawled you held me up above my
feet
From birth till I grow
My identity restored from your lips
I am YOU because I see a big U in me
And whenever I watch you
I see a blessing sent from God in the
form of another Apollo
A true father who is honest and
responsible
Though nobody is perfect
I will forgive you in these eyes of mine
Because you are just a man
And love is short
So I will love you with each breathe and
chance I get
And write in this blue skies and let the
cosmos know
Of a true zodiac I become
And how my heart will bleed braveness
and strength
As you already taught me
You are a chapter in my life
A book I can always open to
And I save the best for the last
So may God bless you from here all the
way to the moon
And I pray that one day I will see you
soon
Happy Father’s Day
